COURT TODAY BLOCKTrevor Antonio Hollingsworth was reprimanded and discharged after appearing in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today.

The 45-year-old pleaded guilty before Magistrate Douglas Frederick to loitering along Jackson Main Road, St. Michael yesterday, where police saw him laden with a number of bags and going towards Melrose, St Thomas.

The cops were patrolling the area when Hollingsworth looked towards them and then disappeared from view. They became suspicious and went after him, catching up with him further along Jackson.

When the lawmen enquired about his earlier behaviour and asked him to account for it, Hollingsworth became agitated and told police he had a quantity of fruit in the bags, which he had hidden.

Police asked to see the bags and Hollingsworth retrieved them from behind a wall.

When they were examined, one contained a large quantity of limes and the other mangoes, which Hollingsworth said he got “from behind the old farm in Jackson”.

The police asked him to show them the farm and Hollingsworth escorted them to a bushy area where not a single fruit tree was present.

Further, when the officers made several stops and enquiries in Jackson, no one knew Hollingsworth either.
