Carpenter remanded

COURT TODAY BLOCKA number of persons denied charges against them when they went before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today.

One who did so before Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant was Jason Randolph Christopher Bourne, of Parish Land, Christ Church.

The 30-year-old carpenter pleaded not guilty to damaging a cellular phone belonging to Shakira Griffith and to assaulting her, occasioning her actual bodily harm on August 13.

Already on remand from another court, he was further remanded until September 16 in relation to today’s matters.

Malen Oneta Clement, 55, who resides at St. Stephens Road, Black Rock, St. Michael, also denied using the threatening words: “I gine kill you. I gine stab you to France up” toward Jason Archer on August 13.

Her bail was set at $3 000 and her case adjourned until October 20.

Meanwhile Graham Winslow O’Connor Knights, of Fairfield Main Road, Black Rock, St. Michael pleaded not guilty to the August 3 allegation that he assaulted O’Neal Shepherd, occasioning him serious bodily harm.

The mechanic, 47, returns to court on October 9 and will be on $3 000 bail until then.

Another accused, Mitchell Michael Martin Williams, also pleaded not guilty to using threatening words toward Margaret Taylor-Nurse on August 18; those were “I gine beat you when you come outside.”

The unemployed 44-year-old was remanded until September 16, since he has no fixed place of abode. He did tell Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant, though, that “I does abode at the Centre in Hindsbury Road.”

Additionally, Shane Daniel Polin, of Bartlett’s Tenantry, Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church, was granted $ 1 500 bail after denying that he had cannabis on August 19. He returns to court on October 30 as well.
