COURT TODAY BLOCKPolice Constable Everton Randolph Gittens remains on remand after his attorney once again requested a long adjournment.

When Gittens reappeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court today for the second consecutive time Angella Mitchell-Gittens asked that the customary 28-day remand for prisoners be waived and he be granted a long adjournment.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant acceded to the request and the policeman will return to court on December 8. Gittens resides at Lot #1 Dash Gap, Bank Hall, St Michael.

The 43-year-old policeman is accused of murdering Selwyn Knight on March 15 this year. He is also accused of recklessly engaging in conduct which placed Junior Knight in danger of death or serious bodily harm and unlawfully wounding Junior Knight with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to cause him some serious bodily harm, all on March 15
this year.

All of the offences are indictable.
